Sunday, July 2nd: Tel Aviv Vicinity
Shalom!
And Welcome to Israel. We will meet at Kfar Hamaccabiah where you will
be able to check-in and get used to your new environment. After
checking in and enjoying lunch, we will board our bus to Tel Aviv for a
tour. We'll drive through the town, passing such sights as Rabin
Square, Independence Hall, and the famous Bauhaus Architecture.
Afterwards we'll head to Jaffa, a 5000 year old port town on the
outskirts of Tel Aviv. In the early evening we'll enjoy a light dinner
along the Mediterranean at the new Tel Aviv Port. At 7:00pm we'll
transfer to the Yarkon Baseball Field for an 8:00pm game where we will
play against the Israel National Baseball Team. Game #1

Monday, July 3rd: Coastal Route
Today we leave
Tel Aviv and head northwards to the Galilee. On the way we'll stop in
the ancient Roman city of Caesarea, built by Herod in the first
century. It was subsequently inhabited by the Byzantines and the
Crusaders, whose influences can be seen in the layers of spectacular
ruins. Be sure to check out the myriad of multimedia forums that bring
the ancient city to life. We'll also visit the beautiful wine country
of Zichron Yaacov. Afterwards we'll travel up Mt. Carmel to Haifa, a
beautiful city on the Mediterranean coast. There we can get a stunning
panoramic view of the city and the sea down below and visit the
beautiful Bahai Hanging Gardens. We'll then proceed to the geological
wonder of Rosh Hanikra where the Mediterranean Sea carved out beautiful
grottos over thousands of years. Next we'll drive to our kibbutz for
dinner and overnight.

Tuesday, July 4th: Upper Galilee
After
breakfast proceed to the mystical city of Tzfat, known for its quaint
artists' colony and beautiful synagogues. After, we'll drive up to
Golan Heights. There we will tour an IDF Base and enjoy lunch. Before
returning to Tel Aviv, we'll have a chance to visit JNF's security
roads on the northern border and learn about how JNF is helping the
local communities. Then we will return to Tel Aviv where we'll
participate in another Baseball game to be followed by a 4th of July
Barbeque Dinner. Game #2 Return to your hotel for overnight.

Wednesday, July 5th: Tel Aviv and Vicinity
In
the morning we'll leave our hotel to visit Latrun military museum and
Mini-Israel to see the sights of this amazing country model-sized. Then
we'll take a tour of Tel Aviv including a visit to the interactive
Palmach Museum (pending confirmation)as we'll as Independence Hall to
see where Prime Minister Ben Gurion announced the independence of the
State of Israel. In the evening we will experience another great game
and Pizza dinner. Game #3 Then we will return to our hotel for a good night rest.

Thursday, July 6th: Dead Sea & Massada
After breakfast we'll drive to the ancient oasis of Ein Gedi. Then onto
Massada, sight of the Zealots' last stand against the Romans in 73 AD.
Then we will proceed to the Dead Sea where we can float in the buoyant
waters. In the late afternoon we'll proceed to Jerusalem, practicing
the age old tradition of saying the Shechechiyanu.
After Check-n and a bit of relaxation, we suggest an evening at leisure, on Ben Yehuda Street.
Overnight, Grand Court, Jerusalem.
Friday, July 7th: Jerusalem
In the morning
we'll enjoy The First Baseball Expo in Jerusalem. Afterwards we'll
drive past the the Knesset and the Supreme Court. We'll also go to Yad
Vashem Holocaust Memorial and Museum. In the late afternoon, we will
proceed to the Western Wall for Kabbalat Shabbat. Afterwards we'll
enjoy a festive Shabbat Dinner at our hotel.

Saturday, July 8th: Jerusalem
Shabbat Shalom!
In honor of Shabbat our day will be at leisure. Consider walking around
some of Jerusalem's neighborhoods, like Yemin Moshe. In the afternoon
you can also go to the Israel Museum, which includes the Shrine of the
Book, home to the priceless Dead Sea Scrolls. In the evening, we will
have a farewell dinner in one of Jerusalem's local restaurants.

Sunday, July 9th: Jerusalem & Enroute
Our
last day in Israel will be spent enjoying some of Israel's
archeological and geological wonders. First we'll go to Beit Guvrin to
participate in some ongoing archeological excavations. Next we'll visit
Kibbutz Gezer (home of Israel's first and most beautiful softball
fields) for lunch and some baseball clinics (pending approval). Onto
Beit Shemesh to see some amazing Stalactite Caves. Before returning to
our hotel, we will participate in a tree planting ceremony at one of
JNF's forests. We'll then return to our hotel for late checkout.

trip you need to let me know you are interested and I put your name on
the list. When we have enough players, I will work out the
details and inform you of the program.
This trip is for amateur baseball players.
Wives, girl friends, family members or other tourists may also
attend. You will
need a valid passport, a visa is not required.
