I understand there is no insurance of any type offered as part of this trip. Any insurance of any type is my responsibility.
I am aware that the trip can be cancelled at any time for any reason. In the event of trip cancellation, all funds sent to Paul W. Raymond or Baseball Adventures will be refunded until funds are distributed to the travel agent or for any trip expenses incurred at that time. Beyond that time, any refunds are subject to policies of the travel agent. There will not be, in any case, any reimbursement for other travel related or other expenses incurred with this trip.
I understand that baseball arrangements in Cuba are being organized by INDER and Cubadeportes as well as the Cuban Federation of Baseball. The team will managed by Paul W. Raymond of Baseball Adventures. Baseball Adventures will serve as a liaison between the players and the Cuban teams and associations. All other trip arrangements for Cuba will are organized and run by Marazul Travel, Inc., of Miami, FL, for which Baseball Adventures will also serve as a liaison.
I understand it is my responsibility to have a valid passport, and am a citizen in good standing.
Enclosed is a deposit for $500. I understand this deposit is non-refundable if I cancel the trip within 30 days of the scheduled departure date to Cuba, or once flights are booked by Marazul. I understand that flights are now subject to a minimum non- refundable deposit of $300. I understand that full payment is due by January 1, 2016 and that Baseball Adventures may require me to wire transfer the funds, instead of paying by check. Baseball Adventures does not take credit cards or PayPal.
I agree to abide by the laws and requirements for travel to Cuba per the license requirements issued and administered by the U.S. Treasury Department, OFAC. In particular, I understand that this trip is under a “general” license and as part of the conditions of the license, I am required to keep my trip records for 5 years.
I understand that there are some additional charges that are my responsibility in going to Cuba. Estimates of additional charges are: Airport Departure Fees in Cuba 25 CUC, although that may now be subject to pre-payment to Marazul. I understand I am responsible for all my personal luggage charges and excess weight of luggage over 44 lb., both in the USA and in Cuba. I understand there may be some import taxes or fees imposed by foreign or US government for goods imported into other countries.
The trip includes only the items described, such as ground transportation, tours, lodging, baseball, meals, as described or indicated. Any additional charges or fees, such as airport or entry fees, insurance, special visas to the country, are my responsibility. Domestic air to and from Miami is not included.
